At 8:58 am on December 16, 2024, the wide and thick plate 3800mm rough rolling mill of Jingye West China Special Steel began rolling. After finishing rolling, straightening, cooling and other processes, the first qualified steel plate was born! The entire production process is stable, the steel plate has high dimensional accuracy, the plate shape is straight, and the surface quality is good, marking the complete success of this thermal load test run!
Since the project started on December 15, 2023, the company's leaders have attached great importance to it, the project command has carefully organized and scientifically allocated, and all construction units and company employees have overcome difficulties and united to promote the rapid progress of the project with quality and quantity. The thermal test plan is thorough and complete, and the operators have comprehensive and meticulous prenatal training, which strives to ensure that the wide and thick plate project meets the thermal test conditions as scheduled, and a thermal test is successful in one thermal test.
The 3800mm production line of Jingye Huaxi Special Steel Wide Thick Plate 3800mm uses a dual-frame high-rigid four-roller rolling mill, and the basic automation and process automation system adopts the internationally leading PRIMETALS technology, ensuring the thickness and width accuracy of the product; the strong pre-standing machine and thermal straightening machine create conditions for the production of wide and thick plates with good straightness; the online ultrasonic automatic flaw detection equipment ensures the inherent quality of the factory products. The designed annual output is 2 million tons, and the varieties cover structural steel for high-rise buildings, structural steel for welding structures, structural steel for bridges, structural steel for weathering, structural steel for ships and marine engineering, structural steel for boilers and pressure vessels, pipeline steel plates, steel plates for automobile beams, high-strength wear-resistant steel plates for engineering machinery, etc. The product specifications are: thickness 6mm~200mm, width 1600~3650mm, and length 6000mm~18000mm.
